BUZZ EXCLUSIVE: JAY DIZZLE - ILL XPRESSIONZ ONLINE RELEASE

Bio

Jay Dizzle grew up with a lot of exposure to music. From his early teens he had already grown attached to rap music and was listening to such artists as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, 2 Pac, The Notorious BIG, Wu-Tang Clan, Naughty by Nature, and more. A few years later he was writing, producing and recording full length songs while producing for other artists.

Jay Dizzle steered his career towards becoming a recording artist and released his debut album, Ill Xpressionz, in 2010. The album features several blends of different genres of music such as Rock, Soul, Techno, R&B, and Dancehall. His single off the album, a hip hop track titled “Reppin’ Naija”, exhibits elements of the genre’s culture and was well complimented by a well suited creative video. The track had him described as “one of the nicest underground rap artists in the country” while the video was nominated for the Notjustok.com Best Video Awards for 2009 just weeks after its online release. His other single, Obodo Oma is still on rotation nationwide till date and was featured on the Pandora’s Box mixtape alongside Nigeria’s finest and next rated artists such as Dipp, Ice Prince, Terry Tha Rapman, Beazy, Ex-O and Fecko amongst others. Jay Dizzle’s 17 track Ill Xpressionz album also features collaborations with other Nigerian artists such as Dipp, O.D. (Overdose), Lalah, Xcel, A.T and several others.
