Just don’t take my word for it, check out the Demigod’s lyrical showing below…

“I belong to a class of rappers / and rap is a craft we master / we steadily coming after the throne / and we riding fast…”

“Point of correction, I rap DIE – no need for resurrection!”

ABOUT ECLIPSE – The Demigod

AbOriginal Music presents Eclipse - the Demigod. A versatile, highly skilled rapper with a distinctive MIC presence, undeniable charisma and witty lyricism, Eclipse is a Hip-Hop prodigy at the forefront of a new generation of Nigerian emcees determined to carve their names boldly in the next chapter of the book on African Hip-Hop.

Though new to the game - having only started rapping in 2010, Eclipse has already carved out a reputation as an MC to watch. In 2011, he was crowned King of the South-East at the South-East Universities Freestyle Friday Competition after emerging victorious in a battle royale featuring the fifteen best rappers in the region. He has also attracted the attention of more celebrated rappers, among them KnightHouse’s Phenom and Storm 360’s Yung6ix, both of whom appeared on Eclipse’s independent single “Still Breathing”, produced by Serengetti Records super producer, Joshbeatz.

Assertively confident (some would say cocky), Eclipse - who counts legendary Hip-Hop artists such as Jay-Z, Nas and their Nigerian counterparts, M.I and Modenine, as inspiration and the emcee standard he sets himself - views himself as being in a league of his own and aims to be the standard bearer for the new generation of African Hip-Hop artists. In his own words he is the “heir to the throne, destined to be king; all roads lead to the same place, and for me that’s greatness”.

Signed to AbOriginal Music, the multitalented Eclipse (he is an aspiring producer and an occasional singer) is currently working on his official debut mixtape tentatively titled DemiGod Mode which is due out in 2013.

The Demigod is here, and the game will never be the same again.
