In a Press Statement issued in Yenagoa, and signed by the National Pageant Director Ebiede Barnabas, the organisers stated that scouts have been appointed nationwide to start the process of registration of contestants and screening will hold in all scouting states to select 20 girls who will qualify to contest for the crown in the grand finale.
The star prize for Miss Collegiate Nigeria is a car + a chance to represent Nigeria at the Miss Collegiate International Pageant + 1 year modeling contract. While the star prize for Miss High School Nigeria is N500,000 in Scholarship fund + a chance to represent Nigeria in Miss High School International in USA + 1 year modeling contract. The statement said there will be consolation prizes for other contestants.

Miss Collegiate International - Nigeria Pageant:
The competition is open to any one over the age of 16 who is a certified student of any University, College of Education, Polythecnic or Monothecnic or any degree awarding institution in Nigeria. Suitable for professional and amateur models.
Miss High School International - Nigeria Pageant:
The competition is open to any girl who is a certified student of any secondary school in Nigeria. Suitable for professional and amateur models.
The Miss High School and Collegiate Pageant competition exists for the purpose of providing personal and professional opportunities for young women. It is our goal to provide outstanding high school and collegiate girls the opportunity to compete in a pageant system that has the highest of moral values. The statement said.
